Not a people-search site.
A detective with boundaries.
Typical people-search sites gather personal details such as addresses, phone numbers and relatives from data brokers and records. Ossary is built differently: it answers a question from public web pages and keeps clear limits.

Start with what you actually want to know
- “What do public pages say about this person’s professional work?”
- “Do these two public profiles connect?”
- “What can’t be confirmed from public sources?”
Clues first, then connections
- Public web pages and public profile APIs only.
- A cited answer to the question you asked.
- People with the same name kept apart, with reasons.
- An opt-in, private case that you can delete.
Ossary and a typical people-search site
| Ossary | a typical people-search site | |
|---|---|---|
| Data used | Public web pages and public profile APIs | Often data brokers and public records |
| Addresses, phone numbers, relatives | Never collected | Commonly shown |
| What you get | An answer to one question, with sources | A profile of personal details |
| Same-name people | Separated with reasons | Varies |
| Pages about individuals | None; cases are private | Often public profile pages |
A detective with boundaries
- Read private or locked accounts, messages or member-only pages.
- Guess where someone lives or works when no public page says so.
- Use data brokers, credit files or background-check databases.
- Treat a shared name as proof that two pages describe one person.
Straight answers
Why doesn’t Ossary show addresses or phone numbers?
Because the goal is understanding public work and connections, not locating people. Leaving those details out is a deliberate privacy boundary.
Can people ask to be removed?
Ossary does not publish pages about individuals. Privacy requests go to info@ossary.com.
