A question worth asking.
A clearer way to investigate.
Public profiles, personal websites, articles, and same-name results can tell very different stories. Ossary helps everyday people work through them with an AI detective: start with what you want to understand, follow public clues, and see the sources behind the findings.
Bring a question and one to three known public links. Ossary researches the public index, explains possible connections, and organizes a private case you can inspect and continue. You do not need specialist tools or investigation experience.
Research is more useful when you can follow the reasoning
Maybe you want to compare two public profiles, understand a person’s published work, or see whether a page belongs in the same story. Finding a result is only the beginning. You still need to know what it says, how it connects, and what remains uncertain.
Ossary keeps source statements beside their citations and labels AI interpretations. A shared name stays a possible lead. A gap in the search stays a gap.
Public sources
Ossary works with a third-party search index and its returned excerpts. It does not log in to accounts, contact people, or place trackers on them.
Understandable evidence
Read the excerpt, inspect the source, and see whether a statement is source evidence or an AI interpretation. A citation supports inspection; it does not guarantee truth.
Your private case
Cases belong to your signed-in account. Reopen, export, or delete them. There are no analytics or session-recording scripts on the public website.
A question leads the investigation
1. Gather starting evidence
The search begins with your supplied public links and optional full name. Filtering removes duplicate, unrelated, sensitive, directory, and data-broker results. Up to ten sources are retained per round.
2. Follow relevant clues
When AI is available, it considers your question and the collected excerpts to plan up to two additional searches. Searches stay anchored to the supplied links or name and within the case’s limits.
3. Explain and continue
Read cited source statements, labeled interpretations, and open questions. The case saves automatically. Ask one follow-up and inspect the earlier completed round alongside the new research.
AI can help interpret. Sources remain inspectable.
Source references and quoted text are validated against retained evidence. Unsupported output is dropped. If AI is disabled or fails, the report clearly identifies guided mode and its limits.
Useful research has a defined scope
Ossary is for adults doing legitimate research into adults’ public online presence. It can help you research yourself or another adult. Every investigation requires an adult and responsible-use declaration.
- No harassment or stalking: Do not use Ossary to threaten, expose private details, or track a person’s location.
- No private access: Ossary does not bypass authentication, read private messages, or enter platform member databases.
- No identity verdicts: Matching names and overlapping details do not verify identity, current activity, or the truth of a claim.
- No background-check databases: The service does not query company registries, court records, credit files, or people-search sites.
- No completeness promise: Private and unindexed pages are not visible, and indexed material may be stale.
Straight answers
Will the person be contacted?
Ossary sends queries to a search provider. It does not message the person or directly visit the supplied page. Third-party search providers handle their own logs under their policies.
Can I ask another question?
Yes. An investigation supports one follow-up, and its earlier completed round stays available. Cases save automatically when research starts and remain for up to 12 months unless deleted sooner. Reopening or saving a report does not repeat the search.
How do you avoid same-name mix-ups?
Results tied to a supplied URL are labeled separately from name-only candidates. The AI is not allowed to promote a name-only candidate into a confirmed identity.
